Colombia Tourist Visa from Pakistan
For tourism, the appropriate category is generally a
Visitor (V) visa for tourism.

- Apply online through Colombia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa system.
- Complete the application and select the Colombian visa office/authority corresponding to your place of residence.
- Upload the supporting documents.
- Pay the applicable visa fees.
- Wait for the decision. The Colombian authorities state that processing can take up to 30 calendar days.
- If requested, attend an interview or provide additional documents.
📄 Documents I Recommend Preparing
For a Pakistani tourist applicant, prepare a strong file including:
- Valid Pakistani passport
- Recent passport photograph
- Completed online visa application
- CNIC
- Bank statements / proof of sufficient funds
- Employment certificate or business registration documents
- Salary slips, if employed
- Tax documents, where applicable
- Hotel reservation
- Round-trip flight reservation/itinerary
- Detailed travel itinerary in Colombia
- Travel insurance
- Previous international travel/visa history
- Evidence of family, employment or business ties in Pakistan

📎 Online Application Requirements
The official online system specifies a
3×4 cm color photograph with white background, JPG format,
and supporting documents in PDF; it also imposes a total
attachment-size limit.
⚠️ Important for Pakistani Applicants
A Pakistani applicant should not rely only on a hotel booking and flight
reservation. The application should clearly demonstrate:
- Why you are visiting Colombia
- How you will finance the trip
- Why you will return to Pakistan
If You Are Self-Employed / a Business Owner
If the applicant is self-employed/business owner, I would build the file
around company registration, business activity, bank statements, tax records,
personal finances and previous travel history.
⚠️ Important Entry Information
Also, a Colombian visa itself does not automatically guarantee entry;
the final admission decision is made by Colombian immigration at the
port of entry.
